This is Dean Stockburger. Master butcher and owner of German small goods ‘Brot & Wurst’.

Along with Rob Locke, from Food Wine Dine, we are very proud to present the delicious journey of Dean Stockburger and his German small goods store.

Dean arrived to Australia from Germany in 1988, with a dream to have his own German small goods store, where people could come and purchase great tasting small goods, breads and pastries that he remembered from home. This dream is now called Brot & Wurst (meaning Bread and Sausage) and can be visited on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

All the small good are made on site and are gluten, colour, soy and preservative free. Bread and pastries are also home made and freshly made daily. They even have their own German smokehouse complete with the sawdust imported from Germany.

Brot & Wurst prides itself on it’s old school hospitality and family owned status. And it certainly feel like home!
